All Dogs Go to Heaven Concept Art - ID: ad08

An original background concept painting from the Don Bluth Studios animated film "All Dogs Go to Heaven" (1989). Featuring the cheese on the track rail from the rat race, the background color key concept was created at the studio and used during the development process. The concept was used to develop and finalize the color palette, layout of the action, and the overall feel of the scene. When a color concept is finalized during production, it becomes the reference tool that animators use to paint cels and backgrounds, as well as to further progress through the storyboarding and layout of the individual scenes. This particular concept work has a cel overlay with rain detailed painted onto it. Measuring 5"x13.5" overall, with the image itself measuring 5"x13.25", the concept painting is in very good condition with minor edge wear.
